Keep in mind that while your Ready Buyer status is valid for 45 days, it’s easy to get it renewed.

Do’s and Don’ts During the Loan Approval Process

Once you’ve received a Ready Buyer Approval, it’s very important not to drastically alter your financial profile. Follow these helpful tips below for a smooth mortgage process.

Do:
  • Do call us with any questions!
  • Do stay current on your existing accounts.
  • Do keep all existing credit card accounts open.
  • Do retain income records, bank statements and all deposit records.
  • Do use your Loan Estimate (LE) to compare offers from other lenders.
Don’t:
  • Don’t apply for new credit of any kind.
  • Don’t max out or overcharge existing credit cards.
  • Don’t make any large purchases.
  • Don’t make any large undocumented deposits into any of your accounts.
  • Don’t modify the sales contract without speaking to us.

Updating Your Ready Buyer Status

If you’ve found a home, update your pre-approval with a property address so we can get started on the next step, an appraisal.

We understand it may take some time to find the perfect home. Because certain documents like credit reports have to be re-reviewed after a period of time, your status is valid for 45 days. But don’t worry, it’s easy to renew your Ready Buyer approval with AmeriSave!
